With the changing of leaves, and cooler weather, the demands on your car change. Prevent getting stranded, or other safety issues with these 6 tips!
Check your tire pressure. Your tire pressure will decrease about 1 psi for every 10 degrees Fahrenheit the outside air temperature drops.
Check and Replace wiper blades. Check the rubber on your wiper blades to ensure they are flexible and free of cracks. Spray your windshield with water, and give your wipers a test run before the rain hits.
Look under the hood. You don’t have to be an automotive expert to spot issues. A cracked hose? Loose belt? Or leaks under your car? These are all signs that you may be due for a service.
Have your battery checked. Cold weather puts more demand on your battery. A loose cable, or corrosion could leave you stranded in an inopportune time.
Check your lights. Grab a friend, and do a visual inspection of all your lights, ensuring brake lights and turn signals work as intended.
You may not have needed the heater for the past few months, but check it now to ensure it’s working before you need it.
